Hi, my name is Matthew Boone; an independent freelance Director & 1st Assistant Director based in Manchester, UK.
My niche lies between the music and film industries, having developed crafts in music video production and creative campaign strategies for releases whilst working as part of the founding team that built independent record label Scruff of the Neck between 2010-2020.
Now freelance, I’ve continued to develop my work as a Director through collaborations with some of the biggest record labels in the UK & Europe.
Alongside this, I work as a 1st Assistant Director across music video, commercial and short film production.
Part of my time is also spent freelance lecturing at Screen & Film School in Manchester during term times, leading their music video and experimental film modules.
